Gerrit is founder and Managing Director of Quintus Studios, a next generation channel operator and distribution business. Quintus has a strong factual content catalogue and owns and operates a portfolio of leading factual AVOD channels with over 6 million subscribers including ‘Free Documentary’. The company offers a unique new partnership model for the changing factual content industry, leveraging its distribution activities with commercial opportunities offered by its own channels, helping producers getting their projects funded.
As MD, Gerrit oversees all company activities across all steps of the documentary value chain, from development and funding via production and establishing co-pro partnerships to distribution and channel operations.
Gerrit founded Quintus Studios in 2011 as a one-man band and has developed it into a non-scripted powerhouse. Before Quintus, Gerrit has over 20 years’ experience in the TV and video industry culminating in a senior role at IMG Media where he was responsible for all documentary and sports license sales including NFL and golf’s European Tour in several European territories.
Gerrit holds a master´s degree in Media Science, English and Business Administration from the University of Bonn, Germany.
